Sprinkler System Floods Cypress Bay High School

WESTON (CBS4) ―

A sprinkler system in a classroom at Cypress Bay High School went off Saturday and caused significant flooding, said Broward County officials.

Fire crews responded to the school located on Vista Park Boulevard on Sunday around 2:30 p.m. where they found flooding in several classrooms and hallways.

Fire investigators said a fire on a hot kiln used in an art class caused the sprinklers turn on.

Despite the damage, classes will go on Monday.
