Tire Flies Off Dania Beach Ambulance During Call

DANIA BEACH (CBS4) ― A Dania Beach Fire Rescue vehicle needed a little rescuing of its own Monday after a tire flew off it while responding to a call.

The crew in the vehicle was heading east on Griffin Road around 10 a.m. in response to an emergency call late Monday morning when a front tire flew off the vehicle in the 23 hundred block and slammed into the window of an office building. The window shattered and several people inside were treated for minor injuries.

No on inside the ambulance was hurt. The cause of the tire separation is under investigation.
