FHP Investigating Deadly Accident On I-95
FT. LAUDERDALE (CBS4) ―
26-year-old LaToya M. Caballero of Sunrise was hit and killed while she walked on the northbound Interstate 95 entry/exit ramp between Sheridan Street and Stirling Road. According to the Florida Highway Patrol, the accident happened at 4:30 a.m. Saturday.
Caballero was hit by a 2007 Chevrolet Malibu driven by 36-year-old Ludner Augustin of Lauderhill. Augustin wasn't injured in the crash and alcohol is not believed to be a factor in the crash according to FHP.
The cause of the crash is still under investigation by the Florida Highway Patrol.
