Clubs At Disney's Pleasure Island Closing

ORLANDO, Fla. (CBS4) ― Turn out the lights, the party's over, at least for six nightclubs at Disney's Pleasure Island. The clubs will be closed down on Saturday and stay closed for the foreseeable future.

The clubs were part of the nightlife at Pleasure Island, which opened in 1989. Since then, the area has gathered a loyal following of tourists and locals. Many enjoyed the area's "New Year's Eve Every Night" celebration.

Disney officials have not given out any details about the long-term plans for Pleasure Island. They have promised an announcement will be made in the "near future."
