Fin Fans In A Frenzy Over Playoff Tickets

Some Fans Camped Out To Be The First In Line

Ten Thousand Playoff Tickets Sold The First Half-Hour

MIAMI (CBS4) ― Too excited to sleep, some Dolfans brought their chairs to Dolphins stadium before 8 p.m. Sunday night to be the first in line for playoff tickets.

Zack Mcdonald told CBS4's Liv Davalos that he and his friend had originally gone to the stadium Sunday afternoon, but were told by security to leave.  They came back at 8 p.m. and stayed to be the first in line.

"We were definitely here in line before anyone else. So hopefully it'll pay off," said McDonald.

Another couple showed up at one in the morning, tent and all. Anna Ayala was even able to sleep a little. "I actually got two hours of sleep, it was a little cold still."

Her friend, Joseph Rosales, said the excitement kept him up.

"I'm really, really excited. I can't wait for this weekend to come already."

Rosales was not alone.  Hours before the ticket office at the Dolphin Stadium opened, there were approximately one hundred people in line, hoping to get a good seat.  When the box office opened at 9 a.m., most of those waiting in line were happy with the tickets they were able to get, but some were disappointed. With no limit to the amount of tickets one person could buy, the lower bowl seats were snapped up within the first fifteen minutes by those in-line and online.

Bobby Castro was one of the lucky ones "Row 2, Section 435, yup pretty good seats."

Gene Rosiere said even though he was at the head of the line, he had bad luck at the ticket window. "There was a guy in front of me who bought 4 thousand dollars of tickets so this is all I could get."

Still others like Carol Pulido looked on the bright side. "I was a little disappointed but I am taking my son and he's just happy to go to the game and happy that the Dolphins are in the playoffs."

Ticket prices start at $46 and can be purchased at Gate F at the Dolphin Stadium. Tickets can also be purchased at MiamiDolphins.com or through Ticketmaster.
