Fight Turns To Shooting, Estranged Couple Dead

NORTHWEST MIAMI-DADE (CBS4) ― A fight between an estranged South Florida couple led to deadly gunfire, according to police. One of the deceased was a Correctional Officer with the Miami-Dade Corrections and Rehabilitation Department.

Miami-Dade police responded to a "woman in distress call" at a home located at 19090 NW 57th Avenue Thursday night shortly after 10:00 p.m. There, they discovered a man and woman had both been shot.

The man, 36-year-old Clifford Murph, was dead on the scene.

Natasha Murph, 35, was transported to the hospital where she later died.

Neighbors were shocked to hear about the violence. "It's crazy, it's just crazy. I mean I don't know what could have been so bad where that could happen," said one neighbor.

The preliminary investigation reveals the couple was estranged and got into an argument that escalated to gunfire.

No other information has been released; the investigation is still underway.
