A Toddler Nearly Drowns In Pompano Beach Pool

POMPANO BEACH (CBS4) ― A 15-month-old toddler nearly drowned in a residential pool located at 361 SE 6th St. in Pompano Beach on Friday morning.

Sandra King of Pompano Beach Fire Rescue said the toddler was found face down in the water around 10:00 am.

Fire rescue officials then transported him to the Imperial Point Medical facility, where he was in critical condition, and later in the day, he was transferred to Broward General Medical Center. 

An older woman, reportedly a relative, was taken to the hospital as well, but for chest pains.
