Miami Dade police continue to investigate the death of 25-year-old Eckerd Pugh.

Pugh was killed after being shot in the courtyard of the 2400 block of Northwest 50th Street at around 11 a.m. on Wednesday. He was taken to Ryder Trauma Center where he later died.

Police were able to arrest a suspect after receiving a tip that he had boarded a bus headed to Daytona Beach. The police department there was notified and officers apprehended Antoin Eleby, 31, of Palm Coast, without an incident. He has been charged with first-degree murder.
