Brush Fires Spark In Everglades National Park
EVERGLADES NATIONAL PARK (CBS4) ―
Everglades National Park on Wednesday has been charred by brush fires at SW 216st and SW 227 Ave.
South Florida is a target for such fires as temperatures continue to swell and vegetation becomes very dry.
This month, the National Weather Service had issued what's termed a 'red flag' warning, which means that critical fire weather conditions are either occurring now or will shortly.
A combination of strong winds, low relative humidity and warm temperatures can create explosive fire growth potential.
