Marathon (CBS4) ― Saturday night was quiet in the Keys. People were resting up for the big day on Sunday, when the boaters and people will be out in full force getting ready.

"All about the Florida Keys," sang a man at Captain Pip's Marina resort in Marathon to a crowd of tourists and locals.

People were passing the time at Captains Pips before a really busy Sunday for this Marina resort. CB4's Jorge Estevez was at the resort when the owner greeted his guests. "Enjoy your Dinner and have a great time," said Johnny Maddox who owns Captain Pips and has quite the task at hand.

Sunday will be a busy day for boat owners and Marinas throughout South Florida. They have to prepare the vessels for the high winds from Fay. "The boat rentals. The charter boats. This is what we do. We take these things serious," said Maddox. There are 25 boats at the Marina that need to be secure by Sunday evening. The owner ties them especially tight and close together. "They float up and they float down and they crash back and forth but they don't crash into each other," said Maddox, who wouldn't trade his job for anything and will do anything to protect his customers and his livelihood.

"I hope it goes to the Atlantic side or the it gets way to the West, 'cause we don't need another way out in the Florida Keys I promise you that," said Maddox.

People expect to be out really early Sunday morning to get ready for a busy day. After all visitors need to start leaving the Keys at 8 a.m.
