FBI To Hire Thousands Of New G-Men & G-Women
WASHINGTON (CBS4) ―
The Federal Bureau of Investigation is looking for a few good men and women. Actually they're looking for nearly three thousand people to fill more than 21 hundred professional staff positions and 850 special agent openings.

FBI Human Resources Assistant Director John Raucci said the mass hiring initiative is to attract people who have skills in critical areas, especially language fluency and computer science.
"But," explains Raucci, "we're also looking for professionals in a wide variety of fields who have a deep desire to help protect our nation from terrorists, spies, and others who wish us harm."
Raucci adds that in addition to computer and foreign language skills, the bureau is also looking for professionals in:
- Finance and accounting
- Security
- Intelligence analysis
- Compliance and quality assurance
- Training and education
- Records management
- Fingerprint examination
- Information technology
- Nursing and counseling
- Physical surveillance
- Electrical engineering
- Physical/natural/social sciences
- Administrative/clerical processes
- Automotive mechanics
- Management/program analysis
The positions are located throughout the nationin virtually every FBI field office and at our Headquarters in Washington, D.C. You must be a U.S. citizen to apply.
