One Man Hurt In N. Miami Flea Market Robbery

NORTH MIAMI (CBS4) ― North Miami police are asking for the public's help in finding three masked men who robbed a jewelry store at a North Miami flea market over the weekend.

Witnesses told police the three men, wearing white "Jason" masks from the Halloween movies, stormed into the jewelry store at the 7th Avenue Flea Market around 5:40 p.m. Sunday and robbed it. During the robbery, one of the masked men fired at the market owner who shot back. In the exchange a bystander, identified as 29-year-old Reginald Horenstein, was hit. He was taken to Miami's Jackson Memorial Hospital where he was treated and released.

After the robbery, the three men reportedly took off in an older model Chevrolet Impala, described as light gold or champagne in color with five star chrome rims.

Anyone with information about the men, or their car, is asked to call North Miami police Detective Stacina Jones at (305) 891-0294 or Miami-Dade Crime Stoppers at 305-471-TIPS (8477).
