Florida Budget Still In Limbo

TALLAHASSEE (CBS4) ― The Florida budget is edging closer to completion as leaders of the Florida House and Senate appropriations panels are taking over continuing budget talks. Conference committees have worked out most of the differences between the House and Senate versions of the budget.

The two chambers are working to resolve the more than $65 billion in the budget year beginning July 1.

Any matters that can't be settled before Sunday afternoon will be referred to House Speaker Larry Cretul and Senate President Jeff Atwater. Both expect to complete their talks in sufficient time for a final vote by both chambers by Friday.
