All Aboard The Bus Tour To Foreclosure
CORAL SPRINGS, Fla (CBS4) ―
A realtor has begun bus tours to take prospective home buyers around South Florida to view the foreclosed home market in search of an affordable house.
"I think there is a lot of opportunity to not necessarily make a steal, but make a good deal," Brian Stanton, a potential home buyer, said.
There are 186,000 homes in Florida in foreclosure as of March. Despite the down times, realtor Chip Isabella said he was watching a news report when he said the idea for a foreclosure bus tour hit him.
"I said, what a great idea" What a way to educate the consumer and I think get them a littler less afraid of what can be a scary market," Isabella added.
He hopes the prices, upwards of $100,000, will excite potential buyers. "The hope would be to get people back into this marketplace. It's still desirable to people and I think a lot of people are just afraid," Isabella continued.
The "Opportunity Tour" kicks off on Saturday at 1PM. Another tour will be offered on April 19, 2008.
