A Fort Lauderdale man died when he lost control of his motorcycle through a city near Orlando over the weekend.
Leesburg Police Department reports that Roger Williams Jr., 53, was on his black 1997 Harley Davidson motorcycle traveling west on Main Street. Williams was the lead motorcyclist among his group.
But on Saturday at about 8 p.m. Williams drove off the roadway causing the motorcycle to fall onto its left side, then flipping on its right side causing Williams to slide about 40 feet on the asphalt.
Making things worst, James Dessicino, 61, also of Fort Lauderdale, was riding right behind him and tried to avoid hitting the motorcycle, but while doing so he ran over Williams who was later pronounced dead at Leesburg Regional Medical Center.
