MIAMI (CBS4) ― More than a few pundits predict Florida will play for the national title. South Carolina coach Steve Spurrier may have something to say about that on Saturday in week 12 as top-ranked Florida (8-1) plays South Carolina (7-3).

It will be the first in college football history in which a Heisman Trophy winner plays against a team coached by a recipient of the award. UF Quarterback Tim Tebow won his Heisman last season and Spurrier won it in 1966.

Sports analysts say Florida is playing better than any other team in the country right now, though they still have three tough games ahead one of which is South Carolina.

South Carolina was inches away from defeating Florida in Gainesville the last time they won the National Championship, and there's always the Spurrier "factor", the man who coached at Florida from 1990 to 2001. He'll be returning to Gainesville for the afternoon game.
