Man Charged After Body Parts Found In Trash

Guillermo Gonzalez Allegedly Confessed To The Murder

HIALEAH, Fl (CBS4) ― A Hialeah man has reportedly confessed to murder after a severed leg was found in a dumpster a warehouse district.

The person who discovered the leg while digging through the bin on Saturday called police who discovered six other bags of body parts in several other dumpsters.

Using fingerprints found on the bags and on the dumpsters, investigators were able to trace them to 63-year old Guillermo Gonzalez. During questioning police say Gonzalez confessed to killing 58-year old Sergio Quintero, a Hollywood jeweler, after the two men got into an argument last week over drugs at Gonzalez's home.

Gonzalez then reportedly chopped of Quintero's legs, arms, hands and his head and stuffed them in garbage bags and dumped them in different dumpsters in the warehouse district Hialeah's east side. A surveillance tape from one of the warehouses allegedly shows Gonzalez pulling up to one of the dumpsters in his white van and putting several garbage bags inside the bin.

Gonzalez has been charged with first degree murder.

This is not the first time he's been accused of murder. In 1992, Gonzalez was convicted of second degree murder; he was released from prison in 2004.
