A second school in Haiti partially collapsed, injuring nine people. Portions of the Grace Divine school in Canape Vert came crashing down Wednesday while class was in session.
At least two students were rushed to hospital with severe injuries after parts of the school collapsed.
No one was trapped in the rubble of the school in Port-au-Prince, the country's capital, but seven other students were also hurt.
Police said many of the students were out in the institution's recreation area when the collapse occurred.
The cause was not immediately known.
The accidents came after heavy rain late on Tuesday in the capital
of one of the world's poorest countries.
Haiti's president recently warned that many buildings in the country may be at risk from poor construction and a lack of proper regulation.
