Second Hit & Run In 2 Days In S. Florida

NORTH LAUDERDALE, Fla. (CBS4) ― Broward County Sheriff's Office deputies responded to a second South Florida hit and run in as many days. Friday's accident happened near the intersection of SW 81st Avenue and 24th Street in North Lauderdale.

Deputies believe a vehicle struck several cars and fled the scene, but may have struck a tree after the accident. Rescue workers with the North Fort Lauderdale fire department had to cut some victims out of their vehicle.

The victims were transported by BSO Air Rescue to the Broward General Medical Center. No names or conditions have been released.
