Holocaust Museum In Hollywood Getting A Makeover

HOLLYWOOD (CBS4) ― A museum dedicated dedicated to teaching the dangers of hatred and bigotry is getting a makeover.

The Holocaust Documentation and Education Center in Hollywood is being completely gutted for a massive renovation project.

Earlier this year, the center unveiled a Holocaust rail car which had been used to transport Jews to concentration camps.  The center's executive vice president Rositta Kenisgberg says while the center is undergoing renovations, the rail car is being reprocessed and cleaned up.

Community members have also donated items ranging from concentration camp uniforms to pamphlets and handouts from World
War II.
