Man Shoots Cousin By Accident Trying To Clear Gun

DANIA BEACH (CBS4) ― A man is recovering on Saturday after he is accidentally shot in a Dania Beach store's shooting range., said Keyla Concepcion of BSO.

Police said two cousins were at the Bass Pro Shops shooting range located at 200 Gulfstream Way in Dania Beach. One man tried to clear a 45-pistol and it inadvertently shot him in the left leg.

Ross Rossiter had just walked into the store when the incident happened.

"He went to hand to him the gun and he says yes it's unloaded he asked him again, is it unloaded yes he goes let me show you when he went to unload it is when he shot his friend," said Rossiter.

The victim was taken to Hollywood Memorial hospital and is expected to make a full recovery
