Battling The Holiday Bulge At Home
MIAMI (CBS4) ―
Staying motivated to work out leading up to the holidays is tough, but now a new kind of workout can have you saving time and money. Michelle Schucher is a south Florida mother of two who is working out more than her body. She is working in her fitness routine despite being very busy this holiday season.
"It is non-stop. Between the parties, the family, the cooking, the children, the activities, and the eating, it is busy," said Michelle Schucher to CBS4's Jorge Estevez.
So with the help of Roya Siroospour, Fitness Director from Crunch Fitness, people can use the stuff in their kitchen to keep them fit. "You are going to use your time wisely, while you are cooking, before you get ready to go to a party, obviously before you put your heels on," joked Siroospour.
People can use the things around their home during the holidays to work out. You can use a gallon of water, cans of food, or bags of rice as weights. You can use the walls in your kitchen for balance and resistance.
Also, getting on the floor can be a good way to do core exercises. There are many innovative ways for people to stay in shape as they wait for their holiday dinner to be cooked.
The point is to stay motivated and cancel as few trips to the gym as possible.
