Fate Of Hulk Hogan's Son Goes Before Judge

Nick Bollea To Be Sentenced In Reckless Driving Case

He Could Get 5 Years In State Prison

CLEARWATER (AP) ― A Florida judge will soon decide whether Hulk Hogan's son deserves to go to prison for critically injuring a friend during a street race.

Prosecutors say 17-year-old Nick Bollea will essentially throw himself on the mercy of the court Friday afternoon when he agrees to drop his fight against a felony reckless driving charge.

Immediately afterward, a sentencing hearing will begin in Clearwater on Florida's Gulf Coast. Bollea faces punishments ranging from probation to five years imprisonment.

Authorities say Bollea was racing a friend in August in his father's sports car when he hit a curb and slammed into a palm tree. The impact critically hurt his friend, John Graziano, who was not wearing a seat belt and now requires a lifetime of care.
