Man Jumps 65-Feet To His Death Off I-95

FORT LAUDERDALE (CBS4) ― A 30-year man fell to his death on I-95 after jumping over a cement wall.

Shawn Montero, of Hallandale, was with friends when they pulled over on the highway late Saturday evening because of an unrelated accident. Witnesses told police Montero said he had to relieve himself, got out of the car and jumped over the wall. He then fell 65 to his death.

Investigators say Montero didn't realize the drop beyond the wall and inadvertently jumped to his death. His death is still under investigation, but the incident appears to be an unfortunate accident at this time.
