Jaxson's Ice Cream Of Dania Wants To Be No. 1

The 52-Year-Old Ice Cream Shop Hopes To Win With Its Cherry Garden Chocolate Chip

DANIA BEACH (CBS4) ― The ABC Good Morning America Weekend news show is holding a contest to name the No. 1 ice cream shop in the nation. Jaxson's is one of four finalists – it's considered the definition of indulgence. Its sundaes are a heaping mound of ice cream that must be at least a pint of ice cream, and that's before they are finished off with one or more of their many toppings and sauces.  It's not a dessert; it's considered a decadent meal. 

The rustic ice cream parlor with wrought iron tables and chairs, wooden booths, vintage goods and antiques cover every available inch of wall space is located at 128 S. Federal Highway in Dania Beach.

Earlier this week, each contender shipped a few gallons of ice cream to the network show in New York for a taste test broadcast live Sunday morning.
