Cunning Crooks Dig Hole In Wall To Steal Jewelry

Thieves Entered Jewelry Store Through Hole In The Wall From Neighboring Business

MIAMI (CBS4) ― Miami police are searching for a couple of cunning crooks who used a laundry store to clean out a Miami jeweler.

Police say the burglars cut a hole through a wall that separated a laundry-mat from Frankie's Jewelry, located along 48th Avenue and 8th Street.

After cutting the hole, they waited until 10:00 a.m. when the first jewelry store employee arrived at work. After the store clerk deactivated the alarm, the burglars climbed through the hole in the wall in the back of the business.

They took an undisclosed amount of jewelry from the display cases and the store safe.

Nobody was hurt in the robbery.
