Jim Bowerman, 27, Moved To South Florida About A Year Ago
Miami Dade Crimestoppers at (305) 471-TIPS (8477)
NORTH MIAMI BEACH (CBS4) ―
North Miami police are asking for the public to help in catching a killer. In April, the department sent officers to the home of 27-year old James Bowerman after his co-workers called to say he hadn't been to work in several days. Bowerman worked as a waiter at a Chili's in Aventura.
When police arrived at Bowerman's apartment in the 15-hundred block of Northeast 130th Street, they found the front door locked but the backdoor was open.
Inside they found Bowerman's body; police say he had been "brutally murdered."
Bowerman grew up in East Lansing, Michigan. Family members say he live in Las Vegas and Los Angeles before moving to South Florida about a year ago.
The family has set up a
website to help find and convict the person responsible for Bowerman's death. They also hope the site will become a support system for all of his friends and family.
Anyone with information about Bowerman's murder is asked to call Miami Dade Crimestoppers at (305) 471-TIPS (8477).
