MIAMI (CBS4) ― The Lingerie Football League has arrived in Miami and it's 'muy caliente.'

South Florida's entry, most appropriately named the Miami Caliente, will hold a one day mini-camp at the Bank Atlantic Center in Sunrise. Fans are invited to check out the team between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. as they go though various offensive, special teams and defensive football drills.

The Miami Caliente is an early favorite to advance to the LFL's Eastern Conference Playoffs. League organizers say the success of 2009 / 2010 Caliente will be dependent on the team's ability in slowing-down potent offenses in the Eastern Conference which include the Chicago Bliss, New York Majesty, Philadelphia Passion and Tampa Breeze.

"Miami is the perfect sexy market for LFL, Friday Night Football with it's atmosphere of nightlife and entertainment. With it's blend of football, lifestyle and party atmosphere, Miami Caliente games at the ultra-hip BankAtlantic Center will surely become a destination for South Floridians and part of their Friday night festivities", said Mitchell Mortaza, Founder & Chairman, Lingerie Football League.

On September 4th, the Caliente will have their first game when they take on the Chicago Bliss in the Windy City.

The team will only play two games at home. The Caliente will host their home opener against the New York Majesty on November 13, 2009 and wrap-up their season at home against the rival Tampa Breeze on January 22, 2010.
