Bank Robber Arrested In Miami Springs

MIAMI SPRINGS (CBS4) ― Police arrested a man trying to rob a bank in Miami Springs Tuesday morning.

It happened after 9 a.m. at the Washington Mutual branch at 4451 NW 36th St., Miami Springs.

According to CBS4 news partners The Miami Herald, the man threatened to kill people inside the bank for setting off a security alarm. He went back inside the lobby with a bag filled with money once he saw police had surrounded the area.

Miami Springs police officers arrested him before he could do any harm to anyone.

Fire rescue responded when one of those inside complained of a possible heart attack, but it was not clear whether anyone was treated or taken to the hospital.
