3rd Winning Lotto Ticket Sold In Broward This Year

DEERFIELD BEACH (CBS4) ― South Florida is facing foreclosures, budget battles and accusations of fraud by numerous governmental officials. But Broward County is riding a high as the third Lotto winner in 2009 was announced Thursday.

A ticket sold in Deerfield Beach matched the six winning numbers in Wednesday's drawing. The number 02 – 19 – 25 – 26 – 36 – 40 will net the lucky ticket-holder $3 million.

The Quick Pick ticket was sold at Kwik Stop at 1320 S. Federal Highway.

A 52-year-old Miramar man claimed a $500,000 Mega Money jackpot from October 27. He chose the one-time, lump-sum payment and won $351,705.25.

Including Wednesday's jackpot winner, there have been 85 jackpot-winning Florida Lotto tickets purchased in Broward County since 1988. Since January 2009, 60 top-prize winning Fantasy 5 tickets and five Mega Money jackpot-winning tickets have been sold in Broward County.

The next drawing is at 11:15 Saturday and will be for $3 million.
