Gas, Please, For Meals On Wheels

  The theme is "Paying It Forward" as the staff of Broward County's Meals On Wheels seeks creative ways to get people to donate spare change to purchase gas cards for volunteers who are the lifeline and connection to the senior community whom they serve. 
The organization is hoping people would consider donating spare change in a number of ways, beginning with but not including:  

·         Pennies tossed into a jar or vehicle change compartment

·         Change collected from the cracks of your sofa or couch

·         One dollar

·         One quarter

·         Drink one less cup of coffee this coming week

·         Pack lunch instead of eating out

·         See a penny tossed on the ground pick it up



The goal is to purchase $25 gas cards for 307 volunteers, and if you would like to help, then please visit Broward's Meal On Wheels Web site.
