Man Allegedly Kills Two Women In Miami Beach
MIAMI BEACH (CBS4) ―
Miami Beach police say a man walked into the station's lobby early Monday and told the officer at the front desk that he had just killed two women.
He then led officers to a gruesome scene inside a Miami Beach apartment on the 1300 block of 15th Street where they discovered two women -- a mother and her daughter -- had been stabbed to death.
Detectives have released the identities of the dead woman. They are 55-year-old Michelle Vinas and her 24-year-old daughter Gisselle Vinas.
Police say 23-year-old Hassan Kaldris White is the murderer. He allegedly stabbed Michelle Vinas in the neck, unprovoked, while she was lying in bed, and then waited for her daughter Giselle and killed her was inside the apartment as well.
Police say White reported the stabbing at 3 a.m. Monday, according to Miami Beach Police spokesman Det. Juan Sanchez.
The bodies were inside the apartment for several hours as detectives worked to obtain search warrants.
