Police Find Missing Woman At Westland Mall

She Was Last Seen inside Macy's At Westland Mall

HIALEAH (CBS4) ― The Alzheimer's patient who went missing from a Hialeah Mall Saturday was found safely Monday in the same mall, according to police.

Rene Sepulveda, 83, became separated from her family while shopping at Westland Mall in Hialeah Saturday. Police said they received a call from someone who helped her cross the street, but didn't realize until much later it was the missing woman.

Sepulveda's family, who was planning a Mother's Day celebration for her, was begging the public for help.

"Help us, help us, find her," The victim's niece, Sandra Jimenez, said sobbing uncontrollably. "We need to know that she is well, this is difficult, it's horrible."

Monday afternoon Hialeah Police announced that the woman was found in the mall's food court, and apparently is in good condition.
