Got A Cute Baby?

MIAMI (CBS4) ― It really isn't all that difficult to get your baby into the baby modeling industry and for them to become a baby model superstar. Babies are earning millions acting and modeling in television commercials, film and print ads. Obviously, knowing the exact steps to take, and what pitfalls to avoid, does help, of course.

From selling Jell-O to Ovaltine, an old Burdines ad, on the cover of magazines or even the back of a toy box, meet the Rouviere family.

From the age of 4 to 11, family members have been modeling since they were in diapers. In fact, four-year- old Sidney scored aPampers ad at the tender age of two months.

Eleven-year-old Taylor started it all when she was just three months, and the rest is history. According to their mother, Jodee Rouviere, "One after another,  they piled into the industry. They enjoyed it, and one after another they continued, and will until they get tired of it and then we'll stop."

She said it all started as a means to pay for future education, and college tuition. In fact,  they've all paid off their college funds, and even have a few hundred-thousand dollars extra to invest in real estate.

Jodee added "The most important thing is they have to want to do it, and be excited about it."

Taylor said "You get to to meet new people, go swimming, run along the beach with a kite or something."

World of Kids Modeling and Talent Agency owner Debbie Cozzo said before signing a model to her agency, she looks for that something special.  "I look for real sparkle in the eye besides their height and size personality. There are many different things."

Besides that sparkle, a child may be model material, if he or she is able to follow directions, talk to adults and has an outgoing personality.

Cozzo, who has successfully run her business for the last fifteen years, warns parents to do their research before signing with an agency. She added, "A parent has to do homework. They have to know they are dealing with a reputable agency or call the Screen Actors Guild."

Before signing with World of Kids, Payton Champagne's mother said she got scammed by one of those agencies. She said, "A company asked for money off  the bat even before we left the interview, and it should have been a red flag."

With that behind them, her 13-year-old son, Payton, has been successful booking major ads for Polo and Macy's. The key to his success is having fun. The home-schooled model also wants to be an actor, an architect and make enough money to buy his mom her "dream home".

Experts say giving your child creative outlets like singing and dancing anything to build self confidence and self esteem helps.
