Several Hospitalized After Gas Leak At SOBE Hotel

MIAMI BEACH (CBS4) ― Several visitors of a popular South Beach hotel were taken to a hospital after breathing in a potentially dangerous gas.

Miami Beach Fire treated at least half a dozen people who were staying at the National Hotel, on 17th Street and Collins Avenue, for carbon dioxide poisoning.

They were taken to Mercy Hospital in stable condition.

Miami Beach investigators have not released the cause of the gas leak which reportedly emanated from the basement area of the hotel.
