Church May Be Booted Over Sex Sermons
MELBOURNE (CBS4) ―
A church in central Florida may be kicked out of an elementary school where they hold services because of sermons on sex.
The New Hope Church in Melbourne has been holding services at Sherwood Elementary. Pastor Bruce Cadle said after sending out 25 thousand fliers promoting their new three week program entitled "Is Your Sex Life A Bore?" he was threatened with eviction from the school by the Brevard Public School District.
Bruce Langdorf, the school district's director of risk management, said they received complaints from parents that an elementary school was not an appropriate place to discuss sex. He said the church's lease for use of the school is currently under review.
