BSO: Oakland Park Woman Raped In Her Home
OAKLAND PARK (CBS4) ―
A man suspected of sexually assaulting an Oakland Park woman in her own home early Thursday morning has been taken into custody.
The Broward Sheriff's Sex Crimes detectives say the man made his way into the 26-year-old woman's home, near Commercial Boulevard and Dixie Highway, around 3:20 a.m. through an unlocked door. Once inside, he reportedly went to her bedroom and raped her. The man then allegedly fled naked, clothes in hand.
The woman told the detectives she recognized the man from around the neighborhood and gave them a description. After canvassing the area, they found a man matching the woman's description in a nearby residence and took him into custody.
The sheriff's department has not released the man's name or said what he'll be charged with.
