Five people were injured from a pit bull that broke from its leash when taken for a walk Saturday morning in Boca Raton, and four of them were rushed to the hospital for bites to their arms and legs.
The Palm Beach Post reported that it all began when a pit bull attacked a poodle being walked by its owner.
The woman threw herself on her dog to protect it, but was bitten. The owner of the pit bull also tried to intervene but was bitten, too.
Three other people reportedly tried to help and received bites to their arms and legs.
The pit bull was taken into the custody of animal control, and the poodle was going to recover.
