Police Car Fired On During Drug Operation
MIAMI (CBS4) ―
Gunfire erupted Tuesday evening as two Miami Dade police agencies were conducting a narcotics operation in Overtown.
Officers from the Miami Police Department and the Miami Dade Police Department were working undercover in the area of Northwest 14th Street and North Miami Avenue around 8 p.m. when someone fired on an unmarked police car with two officers inside.
Neither officer inside the vehicle was injured. Police fanned across the area and set up a perimeter in an effort to catch the shooter. Police have not said if anyone was taken into custody.
