Rescue Missions Plan Christmas In July Feast
MIAMI (CBS4) ―
The Miami Rescue and Broward Outreach Centers in North and South Broward are celebrating "Christmas in July" for the homeless and hungry.
The Miami Rescue mission expects to feed over 1200 homeless and hungry families during a barbecue lunch; while Broward Outreach Centers expect to give out around 800 meals.
In addition to the food, shoes will be given out to needy children, along with free haircuts, manicures (Pompano Outreach Center), and other items. Children will be able to enjoy sno cone and cotton candy machines and even a petting zoo in the Pompano location of the Broward Outreach Center.
The events run from 10:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. in Miami, from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. in both Broward locations.
