Cops Find Truck Load Of Marijuana Filled Melons
OCALA (CBS4) ―
A shipment of melons stuffed with marijuana bound for Miami was discovered at a truck weigh station in Marion County.
Department of Transportation officials said last Thursday they found more than 800 pounds of pot stuffed inside a load of cantaloupes in semi-tractor trailer driven by 31-year-old Richard Coulton of Orlando when he pulled into a truck weigh station on I-75.
Originally from Jamaica, Coulton was reportedly on his way from Arizona to Miami. Coulton's bail was set at at $50,000.
Coulton told the Ocala Star-Banner that he did not know anything about the marijuana and that no one had access to the truck.
