Embattled Broward School Board member Beverly Gallagher's attorney asked a federal judge Friday to delay her arraignment.
CBS4 news partner The Miami Herald reported that no formal action was expected which indicates a plea agreement with prosecutors is possible.
Gallagher's attorney David Bogenschutz said he would ask federal Judge Lurana Snow for a delay in her hearing. A new court date was set for Dec. 21st.
In September, Gallagher, 51, was one of three Broward County elected officials arrested for allegedly taking $12,500 from FBI agents. If there's no agreement, Gallagher's case could go to trail.
The FBI sting also led to the arrest and suspension of Broward County Commissioner Josephus Eggelletion. It also led to the arrest of former Miramar City Commissioner Fitzroy Salesman.
On Thursday, Salesman entered a not guilty plea to all charges in the indictment. Salesman faces fraud, extortion and bribery charges. He allegedly accepted more than $3,000 in bribes for his influence on construction projects.
