Sean Taylor Murder Suspects Used Rental Car

MIAMI (CBS4) ― New information about the murder of Washington Redskins star Sean Taylor was released Monday in court documents.

According to those documents, a rented sports utility vehicle was apparently involved in the Nov. 26th shooting which led to Taylor's death.

Rosemarie Johnson, the mother of a teenage girl, rented a black Toyota Highlander for her daughter and a friend to drive to a football game in Orlando.

The documents reveal that Johnson told prosecutors she didn't know the girls would allow young men they knew to use the vehicle.

Her daughter, identified only as R.L. in the documents, said murder suspects Charles Wardlow, 18, and Eric Rivera, 17, drove the vehicle. It was later left at a Fort Myers school parking lot with keys in the ignition and an empty gas tank.

Wardlow, Rivera and two other Fort Myers-area men, Jason Mitchell, 19 and Venjah Hunte, 20, are charged with fatally shooting Taylor during a botched robbery attempt at his Palmetto Bay home on November 26th, 2007.

All remain behind bars while awaiting trial which is tentatively scheduled for April.
