The 32-year-old who once taught 6th grade at "Our Lady of Charity" in Hialeah was caught returning from a weekend trip to Disney World with a 15-year-old. The teen admitted to having sexual relations with Hernandez since March.
Her trial has now been set for October and will be in court next in late September. Hernandez has been charged with sexual battery on a teenager. The school's principal immediately asked her to resign following the charges.
An attorney says Hernandez is being evaluated by a psychologist. The school's principal immediately asked her to resign following the charges.
The teen's mother told police she approved of their relationship. The mother is under investigation for permitting the affair and consenting to the trip.
