CBS4 News has found a new way for you to go out around South Florida for free; a website that during today's tough times is more relevant than ever.
Anyone who has spent some time in South Florida knows going out costs a lot of money.
CBS4 News has found a new way for you to go out around South Florida for free; a website that during today's tough times is more relevant than ever.
Regan Glover and Lance Gurel were new in town once and had their own realization. "There was lot to do in Miami, but there wasn't a lot that was free," said Gruel, creator of
FreeMiamiEvents.com.
So they partnered to launch the website, which also includes free events in Broward. The website only has one requirement. "Just to keep everything for free so when people go on our site that is what you get," said Glover.
The two forecasted the need for free and have included all sorts of things to do from standup comedy to yoga in the park to wine tasting. "The time is coming soon. People will be looking for less expensive entertainment," said Gruel.
So from dance lessons to happy hours to Museum trips, people have fewer excuses not to go out around South Florida.
"You have changed my life for the better, hands down, no questions asked," said one man who just logged on to the website and found free events in his own neighborhood.
This website is turning one year old. They are having a party to celebrate on February 27th at America's Backyard at Fort Lauderdale.
Of course, the party is free.
