BSO: Husband Stabs Wife In Front Of Daughter
BSO: Husband Angry That Wife Got Restraining Order
Mother Hospitalized, Daughter Not Hurt
NORTH LAUDERDALE (CBS4) ―
A Broward mother who apparently thought her life could be in danger obtained a restraining order against her husband, who turned on his wife Monday morning and stabbed her during a fight in front of their daughter's North Lauderdale bus stop.
BSO detectives say Michel Cherfrere, 49, rammed into the driver's side of his wife's parked truck as she and their 11-year old daughter, waited for the school bus at SW 68th Avenue and 8th Street in North Lauderdale.
Monise Cherfrere, 43, and her 11-year daughter, Melissa Faustni, escaped the wreckage and ran to a nearby home for help.
The husband caught up to them in the front yard and stabbed his wife while their daughter tried to protect her mother, said BSO.
Cherfrere then went back to his truck and ingested several pills. He was transported to University Hospital and Medical Center after deputies realized he had ingested the pills.
Monise Cherfrere was airlifted to North Broward Medical Center, where she is expected to recover from her wounds. The daughter was not hurt.
BSO investigators say it appears Cherfrere attacked his wife because he was angry she had received a restraining order against him.
He has been charged with Attempted Murder, Aggravated Child Abuse and Violation of a Restraining Order.
