MIAMI (CBS4) ― Heavy rains and storms have moved through parts of South Florida leaving urban flooding problems around the area. The National Weather Service put southeastern Broward County under an Urban Flood Advisory until a little after 11 a.m.

Doppler radar showed that several clusters of storms producing heavy rain have moved across the area. Some of the storms have produced rainfall rates in the neighborhood of 2 inches per hour. The National Weather Service reported the area had received up to 3-5 inches on Thursday morning.

The CBS4 weather team doesn't expect the entire day to be a washout, but showers and thunderstorms will begin to redevelop through the early afternoon. But, the storms should quickly die out as the sun goes down. There's a 40 percent chance of thunderstorms throughout the day on Thursday.
