Stormy Conditions Across South Florida Sunday
Wind Gusts Of 50 mph to 60 mph Possible
MIAMI (CBS4) ―
Blustery winds and squally weather is expected over most of South Florida on Sunday.
Scattered showers and thunderstorms in the morning will be followed by more severe stormy weather in afternoon and early evening hours.
CBS4 meteorologist Jeff Baskin says some thunderstorms could produce strong wind with gusts in the 50 to 60 mph range. The highest chance for storm activity will be between 3 p.m. and 8 p.m. High temperatures will be in the low to mid 80s. Lows Sunday night into Monday morning will be in the mid 60s.
A strong cold front sweeping down the state is responsible in part for Sunday's stormy weather. The front will move on through South Florida Sunday evening. The rainy weather and cloudy conditions will linger into Monday. A second cold front is expected to move across the state late Monday into Tuesday dropping lows into the lower 50s and highs only near 70.
A warm up is expected by the end of the week as a high pressure moves off the coast.
