Subway Get Fit Challenge: Week Six Weigh-In
MIAMI (CBS4) ―
The
CBS4 Subway Get Fit Challenge contestants have been working out and weighing in for six weeks now but the challenge doesn't just pit the contestants against each other, but also the trainers as well.
Half way through the three month challenge, it's important for the trainers to keep things interesting for the contestants and they all have a few secrets to keep their clients motivated.
Jason Goodrich trains TJ and he's feeling pretty good because TJ is in first place. But Scott Comoin, who trains Joseph Grooms doesn't mind because his client is close behind.
This week, Joseph weighed 451 and ½ pounds. He lost 7 and ½ pounds for a total loss of 26 and ½ pounds.
TJ weighed in this week at 360 and ½ pounds. He lost another 2 ½ pounds for a total loss of 34 and ½ pounds, which keeps him in the lead. His trainer Jason Goodrich likes that.
Karen weighed in this week at 260 and ½ pounds, the same as last week. While she didn't lose any weight this week, she didn't gain any either. She's down a total of 10 and ½ pounds.
Karen said she's disappointed but explained that she was sick this week. Her trainer Alice Philips was quick to defend her.
"We can't linger on what happened last week. We have to focus on this week," said Philips.
And focused they are.
Karen and Joseph work out at the same Bally Total Fitness Center in Miami, which the trainers say keeps the pressure on.
With no direct competition around, TJ only has to deal with his trainer Jason, who also keeps the pressure on his client.
As for the training secrets used by Jason, Scott and Alice? They won't reveal them until the competition is over.
So this is the final weight loss total for this week:
- TJ is down 34 and ½ pounds
- Joseph is down 26 and ½ pounds
- Karen is down 10 and ½ pounds
The contestants have six weeks to go.
