A cab driver driver has a sixty-six percent chance over others on the job of being killed in Miami-Dade
NW MIAMI DADE (CBS4) ―
Detectives are investigating the shooting of a cab driver who died early Wednesday morning at NW 45th St. and 33rd Ave. in Miami-Dade after then crashing into a road sign, and downed several power lines in the neighborhood.
As Florida Power and Light work crews repaired the electrical lines, homicide detectives said they were probing the shooting as a possible robbery.
In the neighborhood, Ethel Johnson, whose son drives a cab, told
CBS4 Reporter Gary Nelson, "Every day he leaves here, I say a prayer."
Back in June, a cab driver was gunned down inside his car in North Miami, marking the second time a cabbie was killed.
Anyone with information regarding this incident is urged to contact
Crime Stoppers at 305-471-TIPS (8477).
